Andrew Walton's career…

in filmmaking began after an intriguing encounter with a boxer turned cab driver prompted him to make a short film. This was the beginning of a humanistic and visual approach to story telling that finds beauty in both grand statements as well as in overlooked details. Andrew has directed and shot commercials, content, short films and television programming for the world's top ad agencies and brands including AT&T, Carhartt, FCA/Dodge, Canon, the Discovery Channel, HSBC, Petsmart, Kohl’s, Nestle, Nordstrom, Purina and the US Navy to name a few. His award-winning documentary feature, “Arctic Son” premiered at the Full Frame Documentary Festival, and was acquired for broadcast by PBS’ POV series. It was hailed by the New York Times as having, “…a tension that never really fades.” His documentary short, “The Thing That Happened” screened in film festivals worldwide, garnering the Grand Jury Prize at the United Nations Association Film Festival. His most recent documentary film, "Standing Still | Still Standing" won Best Documentary Short at the Over the Rhine International Film Festival in 2018. In 2019, Andrew moved from behind the camera to become an Emmy Award-winning Creative Producer at Bally Sports where he continues to tell stories that move and inspire people.
